What our partners say

The BetterPoints platform evolves continuously and is one of the leading incentivisation apps for travel behaviour change.

The future of mobility is evolving and BetterPoints enables monitoring, incentivisation and reward of the types of travel behaviour that we want to encourage.

BetterPoints are very professional and their platform is ahead of the curve at targeting high and sustained mode shift. Our partnership with BetterPoints has been really useful for enhancing our own bids and has helped us add value to our client service.

Annette Smith, Transport Planning Director, SYSTRA

Bella Mossa has been one of the most effective tools to promote sustainable mobility in our city in an innovative, fun, and incentivising way.

Irene Priolo, Deputy Mayor, Bologna, Italy

Remarkably successful in motivating people to change their habits.

I was Chief Executive of Reading Buses from 2007 to 2014 and during that time we built an excellent relationship with BetterPoints, designed to incentivise bus travel and influence modal share.

We acquired some 18,000 members (out of a Reading Borough population of £125,000). Over 80% said they had been motivated to travel less often by car since joining the BetterPoints programme.

I am happy to recommend the BetterPoints scheme and methodology, which certainly enhanced our position when I was at Reading.

James Freeman, Managing Director, First West of England

Our experience with BetterPoints has been very positive. The percentage of adults classed as overweight or obese in some parts of North Kent was previously worse than the national average; with this in mind the BetterPoints programme offers an innovative approach to encouraging local communities to adopt healthy behaviour changes.

Miriam Fagbemi, Healthy New Towns programme, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation

The BetterPoints pilot we ran did show genuine behaviour change for participants. 81% changed their leisure travel behaviour, half said it increased their awareness of air quality issues and changed their work travel behaviour, and 55% of them said they would stick with their new behaviours.

BetterPoints is a really good company to work with. They are flexible and keen to co-design and innovate, and they worked hard at tailoring their platform for the outcomes we wanted.

We would definitely recommend BetterPoints to other local authorities.

What our app users say

I find BetterPoints is great for motivating me to cycle and walk that bit further and for tracking my route. Choosing to donate points to charity or reward yourself is also a fantastic incentive.

Richard, Reading

BetterPoints gave me the nudge I needed to get off my posterior and get back into being more active.

Peter, Sutton

The app was easy to download and I liked it so much that I got my sister, husband and daughter on it too! As a family we’re looking at a healthier lifestyle and it’s a great incentive. I also like the fact that it’s designed around my community and what’s local to me.

Marie, Skelmersdale

The rewards act as a fantastic incentive. I need to exercise daily because of arthritis, affecting knees, hips and back. BetterPoints is supporting me in my desire to stay focused and maintain mobility as I age. Thank you, BetterPoints!

Viv, Salford

What started out as "Oh well, let's see if I can earn the odd voucher" has genuinely changed my habits!

Liz, Birmingham

BetterPoints is more than the rewards, it's meeting goals and then looking back and self-reflecting, and realising how far I've come makes me feel really proud of my achievement.

Vidya, Hampshire

The BetterPoints app is really easy to use, well laid out and provides goals and rewards all displayed in one place. I find myself wanting to walk for longer periods of time to see the points add up, me and my son have opted to walk to and from school rather than going in the car.
