BetterPoints motivated people to actively travel eight times round the world in our Winter Challenge
Winter is almost gone and spring is here – or certainly on its way!
The National Rewards Winter Challenge has now ended. In total, participants tracked over 80,000 activities, clocking up 217,335 miles of walking, running and cycling from 1 December to 28 February. This means they travelled more than eight times around the earth!
Whilst on the move, they burned over 17 million calories and saved 83,506 kg of CO2 emissions.
We think it’s pretty impressive for those dark, damp and cold months when most people feel more like hibernating than exercising! Each virtual trip around the earth also added to the total pot of BetterPoints which will be converted to a donation to Shelter, enabling the charity to help more individuals and families living in inadequate accommodation in the UK.
