Join us at Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities in Edinburgh
We’ll be heading north of the border in June for the 11th annual Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities Conference – commonly known as the National Active Travel Conference. This popular event returns to Edinburgh on 12 June 2019 and will focus on ensuring active travel is for all.
Chris Bristow, BetterPoints COO and international programmes lead, is taking part in the afternoon breakout session where he will talk about the highly successful Bella Mossaprogrammes we powered in Bologna, Italy. Chris will share the process, results and lessons learned from the two six-month interventions which aimed to reduce congestion, improve air quality and encourage healthy activity and wellbeing using a smartphone app and incentives. We’ll also have a stand in the conference exhibition.
Celebrating over a decade of promotion and development of Active Travel in Scotland, the conference’s theme is ‘Widening Access to Active Travel’, with sessions looking at how technology can help people travel more actively and examine issues surrounding transport poverty and accessibility.
If you’re planning to attend this exciting conference we look forward to meeting you – please do get in touch if you’d like to arrange a more in depth chat whilst we’re in Scotland to understand more about how BetterPoints’ behaviour change solutions can help increase active and sustainable travel in your area.
