We’ve been making green and healthy behaviour irresistible in 2021!
It’s nearing the end of what has been an exciting year for BetterPoints, so we thought it would be nice to look back at some of our work in making positive behaviour change an attractive proposition over the last twelve months.
Rewards on Govia Thameslink Railway
BetterPoints is proudly providing the rewards engine for Rail+ Club, a powerful new loyalty app designed to encourage passengers back to trains, which is being trialled on Thameslink and Great Northern Railway lines.
Cardiff University carbon reduction
Changing Steps Cardiff rewards staff and students of Cardiff University for travelling sustainably to, from and between sites, as part of the university’s goal to reach Net Zero Carbon by 2035.
Active travel in Leicestershire
BetterPoints has helped Leicestershire Council move people to active travel since 2017. They saved an estimated 149,773 kg of CO2 in 2020–21, with more than 50% of assessed trips replacing a car journey.
Rental bike promotion in Brighton
Over the summer, people in Brighton & Hove could earn rewards for using rental bikes by scanning QR codes on the baskets.
Healthy activity in Hounslow
London Borough of Hounslow’s One You Hounslow programme motivated people to be more physically active, eat more healthily and quit smoking.
Boosting town centres in Falkirk
BetterPoints returned to Falkirk with rewards for walking, cycling and using public transport, and bonuses for visiting local town centres.
Sustainable travel in Thames Valley
BetterPoints built the Innovation Valley app to reward sustainable travel across Thames Valley, part of ADEPT Live Labs’ £22.9m SMART Places programme to help councils improve air quality, health and travel.
